The Betty

I had a birthday coming up and was feeling a bit saddened by the fact that I was having to put together my own birthday party and work had prevented me from planning a great event but a referral from a friend to try The Betty solved both problems. Ellie responded to my inquiry about the venue and made me feel comfortable enough to spend my birthday eve with some friends at their lounge. From the moment I arrived staff was warm, and so very professional. Tay and Zalika made my group feel like VIPs and kept the drinks flowing, they contributed to the elevated atmosphere that I was hoping for and the meticulously designed space made for great photos and a “grown and sexy” feel. I enjoyed the mocktails while my guests made their way through the cocktail menu. My ladies and I plan to try out the DJ for girls’ night out once it warms up a bit, we don’t want to freeze walking back to our vehicles

I heard through social media that the Betty does “Steak Nights” on Thursdays so came to check it out! Some things to note and review: 1) there is a dress code, so make sure you aren’t coming in flip flops and a t-shirt (shorts are allowed for guys but need to be accompanied with a collared shirt) 2) there is live music frequently being played which made for a great atmosphere! 3) there is only a few “Large” table set ups inside, so know that going in that this is truly a bar/cocktail lounge 4) the staff were very friendly and helpful! 5) STEAK NIGHT: so it isn’t advertised on their website so here’s the scoop. Since they are not technically licensed to serve food, they use a 3rd party vendor. You go to the outside patio to order and pay directly there. Then when your food is ready they will come bring it to you! Honestly it was one of the better steaks I’ve had in Austin and reasonably priced too! There were 3 options the night I went and I got the Ribeye which comes with smashed potatoes and asparagus, with a price point of $45! - I’d come back again especially for steak night!
