PJ Lobster House

Great spot that used to be down 112. PJ's used to have a stand alone venue down 112 that was bigger. It was a little more obscure due to the distance from the port, but now it is is in the heart of Port Jefferson. Smaller but better! The food as always, is on point and amongst the very best the poet has to offer. There are great drinks, great apps, and fantastic entrees and desserts. I had oysterson the half shell that were fresh, clean and crisp tasting. A person from my party had steamed clams and they were divine. Fresh, and perfectly opened to take in the garlic sauce they were steamed in, served with drawn butter it was delicious. I had the salmon salad which was perfectly cooked with a balanced flavor over garden greens and tomatoes and cucumbers, I added blackened shrimp for $10 which added a great contrast and spice to a wonderful salad. Two of my guests had the seafood tower, which includes two dozen oysters, one pound of shrimp, two lobster tails and two lobster claws. Once again, a home run in every sense, with every bit perfectly prepared and full of Long Island freshness and flavor. We finished of with four different dessert selections and left feeling fulfilled, happy and our taste buds were high diving the entire night. The service was slowed by a few call outs, but our server made up for it with care, smiles, courtesy and energy. She made everything great and she was amenable to all of our needs. What a great meal, time and experience. This is where you want to go for delicious seafood, served at MP, but delivered with pride and joy!!!

A few weeks ago, we were celebrating my best friend’s 40th birthday with a brunch planned at a local restaurant. Unfortunately, a heavy snowstorm the night before left the roads barely plowed. Still, our group of 20+ adults and kids managed to make it down Port, excited to celebrate together.<br><br>When we arrived, we realized that the originally planned restaurant wasn’t open—even though it was supposed to be. We waited for a bit, but nothing changed.<br><br>That’s when we decided to check with PJ Lobster House to see if they could accommodate us on such short notice. Not only did they welcome us in, but they went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Our server, Tori, was absolutely phenomenal—so attentive, kind, and thoughtful. She truly made the day feel special, as if we were meant to end up there all along.<br><br>Thanks to their incredible hospitality, what could have been a disappointing situation turned into a wonderful celebration. We left feeling grateful, happy, and proud to say we’re customers for life. 💙🦞
