Patrizia's Staten Island Taverna

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐<br><br>We had an absolutely amazing experience at Patrizia’s Taverna in New Dorp celebrating my husband’s birthday.<br><br>My family arrived on time, but I was coming straight from work at a veterinary hospital and ended up running about 45 minutes late. The staff was EXTREMELY accommodating and patiently waited for me to arrive before we began our celebration. Even though the kitchen was getting close to closing by that point, not once did anyone make us feel rushed or like we were an inconvenience. Quite the opposite—we were made to feel like family.<br><br>And the food? Incredible. Everything tasted genuinely fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and made with pride. They absolutely do not skimp on portions either—my skirt steak was huge! The staff happily gave recommendations when we asked and were attentive, kind, and welcoming throughout the entire meal.<br><br>My husband ordered the pesto gnocchi and was so enthralled with it that I quite literally watched his eyes roll into the back of his head after taking a bite. 😂 My older son is an extremely picky eater and even he thoroughly enjoyed himself. My mother ordered the Taverna Tea and was beside herself over how delicious it was.<br><br>One thing that really stood out was that despite my husband eating quite a bit of pasta, bread, and other carb-heavy foods, he left feeling completely satisfied without feeling heavy or bloated.<br><br>They were also incredibly sweet about our birthday cake, allowing us to cut and serve our own and then carefully wrapping what remained for us to take home.<br><br>At the end of the evening, we had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, Vinny, and that conversation was truly the cherry on top. We learned that their pastas and breads are made fresh in-house daily and that they take tremendous care in choosing their ingredients, including using imported Italian flour. After tasting the food, hearing Vinny speak about it made perfect sense. You can tell there is genuine love, compassion, pride, and respect behind what comes out of that kitchen.<br><br>What impressed me just as much was his kindness. It was late, my two young boys were understandably getting restless and a little rowdy, and Vinny remained nothing but sweet, patient, and respectful with our family.<br><br>Every meal I’ve had at Patrizia’s has been astounding, but this experience gave me an entirely new appreciation for the people behind the food. When an owner takes that much pride in what he serves and his staff makes you feel that welcome, you understand exactly why a restaurant is successful and continuing to grow.<br><br>Highly, highly recommend Patrizia’s Taverna for a birthday, family dinner, special occasion—or honestly, just because you want an incredible meal made by people who genuinely care about what they do.<br><br>We will absolutely be back. ❤️

My friends and I had a wonderful experience at Patrizia's Taverna! It was my first time dining there. The food was delicious and the service was great! Ibrahim was knowledgeable about the menu and amazing! I will definitely be back! :)

We ordered a banquet birthday and it was a great experience. The workers are attentive and friendly, the foods, specifically the steak was very tender and the pasta was amazing. Overall the price is fair and the food/experience is worth dining here.
