El Raval

We’ve been to Barlata and now El Raval. The new menu has the essence of the previous one but still unique. We love the tapas and the electic influence into the Spanish cuisine. We happened to go on a Monday which was happy hour all day. Great day to try new dishes. The artisanal pasta with pork ribs and waygu beef cheeks was one of the most delicious pasta we’ve ever had. Spanish cheese course with fig jam is a great touch to start or end the course. Nice touch was the complementary dessert for our anniversary which happened to be the same we ordered. Love the seating options: counter height, communal, and private booths. Our waitress and rest of the staff that came around were all wonderful. Will definitely be back! Can’t wait for a day to try the Paella’s.

Recently, I celebrated my birthday with my husband there, and it was a night to remember. From the moment we arrived, Derrick Mangroo, the general manager, welcomed us with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for an exceptional evening. As foodies who adore international and fusion cuisine, we were thrilled with every dish we tried. Chef Laila Bazahm, poured her heart and creativity into crafting a menu that is both vibrant and inspired. The dishes showcase her talent and passion, elevating traditional flavors into something truly unique: • Gambas a la Ajillo: Juicy shrimp in a perfectly balanced garlic-infused sauce, simple yet divine. • Paella De Marisco: A seafood lover’s dream, bursting with the freshest ingredients and an authentic depth of flavor. • Ceviche de Hamachi: A standout dish with delicate hamachi, leche de tigre, and the perfect touches of aji amarillo and sweet potato noisette, creating a vibrant and refreshing harmony of flavors. • Arroz Con Leche: To end the evening, this Spanish rice pudding, paired with my Mom’s leche flan, ube ice cream, and pistachio, offered a nostalgic and indulgent dessert that was as beautiful as it was delicious. To complement the gastronomic celebration, the evening included a captivating flamenco performance, adding an unforgettable layer of cultural richness and entertainment to our night. Chef Laila Bazahm’s dishes are a reflection of her immense talent and her warm, generous spirit. She has a gift for crafting flavors that feel both exciting and comforting. El Raval is not just a restaurant; it’s an experience of the highest caliber, and we are already looking forward to our next visit.
